This Privacy Policy explains how Northstar Liquors, LLC d/b/a Cheers Wine & Liquor (“Cheers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit or use our website, online ordering platform, mobile websites or applications, related services, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).
“You” and “your” refer to any individual using or interacting with the Services, including customers, visitors, account holders, delivery recipients, and other individuals whose information we collect.
This Policy applies to information collected through cheerswineandliquor.com, our digital ordering services, communications with Cheers, and other interactions that reference this Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this Policy.

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, technology, Services, or legal requirements. We will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Cheers. “Personal information” generally means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be associated with an individual or household, as defined by applicable law.
Information You Provide
We may collect information when you create an account, place an order, purchase products, request delivery or shipping, use pickup, contact customer service, subscribe to communications, participate in promotions or loyalty programs, submit reviews or feedback, or otherwise interact with us.
This may include your name, email address, telephone number, date of birth (to confirm you are old enough to buy alcohol or to join promotional texts), billing, shipping and delivery addresses, account information, order history, products purchased, payment-related information, customer service communications, marketing and SMS preferences, and information concerning returns, refunds, or order issues.
Payment Information
Payment information may be collected and processed by our payment processors and authorized service providers. Depending on the payment method, this may include card information, billing information, transaction information, payment authorization information, and digital wallet information.
Cheers generally does not need to retain complete payment card information. Payment providers may process or store payment information under their own privacy and security practices.
Order and Transaction Information
We may collect information about products purchased, quantities, prices, order dates and times, fulfillment locations, pickup or delivery information, shipping information, order and delivery status, refunds, returns, discounts, promotions, fees, taxes, payment status, and related communications.

We use advertising and analytics services, including services provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to promote our products, measure advertising performance, and better understand how customers interact with our website and online ordering services.
When you interact with our website or place an order, we may share certain information with our advertising and analytics partners, including information about purchases, website activity, and identifiers such as email addresses or telephone numbers.
Where supported, we use cryptographic hashing to transform certain identifiers before transmission. Hashing does not necessarily make this information anonymous.
Our advertising partners may use the information to match advertising interactions with purchases, measure campaign performance, and support advertising audiences, subject to applicable laws and contractual restrictions.
We may also use customer information to create custom audiences or reach individuals with similar characteristics where legally permitted.
We do not intentionally direct alcohol advertising to individuals under the legal drinking age. Where applicable law provides privacy choices or opt-out rights, we will provide mechanisms for customers to exercise those rights.

The Services may contain links, integrations, applications, social media features, or other services operated by third parties. Third parties may independently collect information about you.
Cheers is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third-party services. Review the applicable third party’s privacy policy before using those services.
11. SOCIAL MEDIA
If you interact with social media features or platforms through the Services, the applicable platform may collect information about your interaction. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. Information posted publicly may be accessible to others.
12. CHILDREN
The Services are not directed to children under 13. Because Cheers sells alcoholic beverages and other age-restricted products, the Services are also not intended for individuals below the legal age required to purchase or receive those products.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can evaluate the request and take appropriate action consistent with applicable law.
13. DATA SECURITY
We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no Internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should protect your account credentials and use caution when transmitting sensitive information online.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, maintaining accounts, processing orders, meeting legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute-resolution requirements, enforcing agreements, and supporting legitimate business needs.

We may verify your identity before completing certain requests. If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may require evidence of authorization.
We will respond to valid requests within the time periods required by applicable law.

To the extent required by law, Cheers will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available to you under applicable law.
18. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Where permitted by law and consistent with your preferences, we may send promotional communications by email, push notification, telephone, postal mail, or other channels.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe instructions in the communication.
We send promotional text messages only to people who separately opt in to our promotional text program, as described in Section 19.
Even after opting out of marketing communications, we may continue sending transactional or operational communications necessary to fulfill orders or provide Services.
19. SMS / TEXT MESSAGE PRIVACY
We run two text message programs: order updates and, for people who separately opt in, promotional texts. Both are described in Section 22 of our Terms & Conditions and in our Text Message Program Terms at https://cheerswineandliquor.com/p/sms.
What we collect. Your mobile number and your choices for each program. When you join promotional texts, we also keep a record of your consent: the exact wording you agreed to and its version, the date and time, where you joined (checkout, sign-in, or your account page), your IP address and device or browser, the result of the 21+ age check, the confirmation text we sent, the promotional texts we send you, and any STOP or START reply.
How we use it. To send the texts you asked for, honor your opt-outs, confirm you are 21 or older, and show that you agreed.
We may use your purchase history, product preferences, and interactions with our online store to personalize promotional messages, including discounts, product recommendations, and special offers. Your information will not be used to send promotional texts on behalf of unrelated retailers without the consent required by law.
Links in our promotional messages may contain unique identifiers that allow us and our authorized service providers to track visits to our online store and purchases resulting from promotional messages. We use this information to measure campaign performance, understand customer engagement, and improve our promotional offers.
How long we keep it. We retain promotional consent records, message history, and opt-out records for at least five years following the latest applicable consent, promotional communication, opt-out, or termination of the marketing program, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Limited suppression records may be retained longer to honor opt-out requests.
Sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The service providers that send texts for us process your number only to deliver them. Your consent authorizes promotional text messages from Northstar Liquors, LLC d/b/a Cheers Wine & Liquor and from the store entities identified when you enroll, including messages sent by Northstar Liquors, LLC on their behalf, concerning the Cheers Wine & Liquor locations listed in the enrollment disclosure. Your consent does not authorize promotional messages from independently operated retailers or other businesses using the same online ordering technology.
Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Replying STOP to our promotional number, (855) 660-0459, unsubscribes you from promotional messages; replying STOP to our order notification number, (855) 749-2312, unsubscribes you from all our text messages. You may also ask us to stop all text messages at any time. Reply HELP for help.
20. LOCATION INFORMATION
Certain Services may use location-related information to determine store locations, product availability, delivery availability, delivery areas, fulfillment options, or other location-dependent Services.
Location information may be provided directly by you, inferred from your IP address, or provided by your device or service provider. You may manage certain location permissions through your device or browser settings.
21. DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, Cheers does not currently respond to all browser-based Do Not Track signals. Where applicable, Cheers recognizes valid GPC signals as described above.
22. INTERNATIONAL USERS
The Services are primarily intended for customers in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where Cheers or its service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ between jurisdictions.
23. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to access/know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, opt out of certain targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, appeal certain decisions, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights.
California residents may submit requests using the contact information in this Policy. We may verify requests as permitted or required by law.
24. OTHER STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights depending on their state of residence and applicable law. These may include rights concerning access, deletion, correction, portability, targeted advertising, sale or sharing, profiling, and appeals.
